Animal Cancer from POPs??

An interesting article on the association between POPs and cancr in wildlife. PCB is the most mentioned POP, but it is also the most measured. Many POPs have been found to affect the immune system and a compromised immune system can lead to vulnerability to cancer.

This interesting report from Canada’s Environmental Defense again reports Lake  Superior as the most toxics free of the Great Lakes.
http://www.winnipegsun.com/news/canada/2009/07/10/10088996.html talks about a large Lake Trout on your plate as a hazard, but Lake Superior is rather free of toxics.
Nothing is said about Ontario dropping toxaphene from its fish consumption guidelins a few years ago. […]
