Today, the third annual Great Lakes restoration conference opens in Chicago. This effort will promote the spending of the $26 Billion Great Lakes clean up package touted a couple of years ago. The recently released Brookings Institute report that this effort would return $50 Billion to the economy has resulted in an outpouring of support.
